Dr. Shirley Johnson boasts nearly 30 years of experience with high school students as a teacher, advisor and mentor. Her extensive experience in education includes training principals and superintendents, serving as a high school principal in rural and urban areas, acting as Assistant Superintendent of the Achievement Institute for Houston Independent School District and developing and designing charter schools in Texas. Johnson has provided professional development consulting for over 12,000 employees and administrators, directed the reorganization of four major departments in Houston Independent School District and continues to be active in improving education programs for students. Her interest in providing students with understandings around their personal growth and development has driven her career. Johnson is an exemplary facilitator with experience in resolving difficult problems and designing professional development solutions based on individual needs. Her background in accountability standards, performance-based appraisals, assessment technology and leadership will benefit MindSight as the company evolves.
